You're mixing the annotations for JSF beans and CDI beans, effectively making the bean @RequestScoped, because it's the default for a @ManagedBean.
 
If you use JSF beans use:
 
javax.faces.bean.ManagedBean;
javax.faces.bean.ViewScoped;
 
If you wanna go for CDI beans use:
 
javax.inject.Named;
javax.faces.view.ViewScoped;
 
If your server supports CDI you should go for CDI beans.
